The Lab of Infection Biology was established by Jana Kamanova in 2021. We are located in the beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic at the Institute of Microbiology. We are interested to understand how bacteria infect, colonize and cause disease. Our current research projects focus on the mechanisms of action of the type III effector proteins of Bordetella, Salmonella and Aeromonas species.
